More than 50 students are infected

The outbreak of eye flu among the students dwelling in Raja Ram Mohan Roy hostel on the university campus is a cause for concern. The fact that around 50 students in the hostel were affected with conjunctivitis on Thursday is alarming, and it is important that the university takes swift action to address the situation.

The health and safety measures in place at the university need to be reevaluated to prevent similar outbreaks in the future. The university administration should work closely with the health authorities to develop a comprehensive plan to contain the spread of such diseases and ensure the well-being of its students.

The fact that the university has taken steps to address the situation by postponing semesters and issuing advisories is commendable. The institution must prioritize the safety and happiness of its student body, and its efforts to address any issues that arise demonstrate its commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

It is important to note that education goes beyond academic excellence. The holistic development of students must be a priority for educational institutions. This includes fostering social and emotional intelligence, which can have a lasting impact on students' personal and professional development.

In conclusion, educational institutions must prioritize the well-being of their students and take steps to ensure their safety and happiness. This includes developing comprehensive plans to address outbreaks of diseases and fostering the holistic development of students. By doing so, educational institutions can create well-rounded individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.
